Team HRC to come back fighting at Bobryshev’s home race

2015 MXGP of Maggiora - Italy_2231This weekend, Team HRC riders Evgeny Bobryshev and Gautier Paulin will head to Kegums in Latvia, the scene of last year’s Motocross of Nations, for round twelve of the MXGP Championship.

Although no two races are ever the same, Gautier Paulin will be reminded of his great results in the Motocross of Nations last year and will be looking to achieve success again at the Baltic track. The Frenchman has been working hard throughout the week in preparation for the event, which follows only days after the MXGP of Sweden.

With no event in Russia, Latvia is the closest ‘home’ event for Evgeny Bobryshev where an increase in fan support will be enthusiastically received by the popular Russian, who is looking forward to racing at the 1540m long hard sand track. Bobby is confident of a return to form after a small crash curtailed his speed in the first moto last weekend.

On track action for the MXGP class will begin at 1045hrs local time with Free Practice on Saturday, while Sunday’s two races are scheduled at 1415hrs and 1710hrs local time.

Roger Harvey
HRC General Manager – MXGP

“Latvia is always a very good event. Gautier had success there at the Motocross of Nations last year, and it’s Bobby’s home race so he will have an enormous amount of support. Whilst we didn’t see the results we wanted last time out in Sweden, we regroup as a team and we come back fighting just as hard, so I’m sure both Bobby and Gautier can show their podium pace once again this weekend.”

“My plan is just to go training, keep putting in the work and be ready for Latvia this weekend. We will have a better weekend in Latvia. Of course I have good memories from the Nations last year and we’ve had some good rides there in the past, but every year is different and you cannot just make a copy. For sure though we’ll do the work to make something good this weekend.”

“Latvia has always been a nice track with good ground and a good atmosphere. It’s close to my place so it’s sort of a home race, and I really like to race there. For sure it should be fun to ride and race there, and I know there will be lots of fans which is always a good feeling. Now we continue to work hard in the week and go there for a good weekend.”
