In mid 2013, KTM and MOTOREX already celebrated the ten year anniversary of their extremely successful partnership. Shortly before the start into the second decade with a commitment into the Rally Dakar at the beginning of 2014, MOTOREX CEO Edi Fischer and senior company officials came to KTM headquarters in Mattighofen, Austria, to announce that the successful partnership is continued and even further extended.
MOTOREX, the Swiss manufacturer of quality lubricant products, supplies KTM with oils, lubricants and care products. The two companies also share expertise and enjoy a close partnership in matters of R&D, production and racing activities. Now the partnership in racing is being further extended to embrace the entire factory race service. All teams that are officially supported by the KTM Racing workshops in Europe will run entirely on MOTOREX lubricants.
In addition, as of 2014, the partnership includes another dimension of cooperation because the entire fleet of KTM X-BOW super sports cars will run on MOTOREX oil. It will be the recommended as the dedicated specified oil for these high-tech vehicles.
Pit Beirer (Head of KTM Motorsports) said KTM relies on MOTOREX expertise and its high-tech lubricants that are specially developed for KTM machines. “We operate at the high end of racing activities all over the world and it is very important that we have a reliable lubricant partner. Regardless of whether our factory teams and bikes are operating in mud, desert sand or on asphalt, we know we can put our trust in MOTOREX.”
Ronald Kabella (MOTOREX Director Powersports) is proud to collaborate with a partner as renowned and successful as KTM. “KTM’s comprehensive demands in development and production, as well as their wide range of racing activities on the very highest levels are a challenge and an inspiration. Here we can play to our strengths, answering every newly arising requirement with highly sophisticated lubrication technology solutions.”
