Former GP-winner and world motocross championship title contender, Brian Jorgensen, has been retired since 2006 living as professional motocross coach. But now he is back on track when he is going abroad, to compete at the Veterans World Championship at Glen Helen Raceway on November 2nd and 3rd 2013.
“Road to Glen Helen” follow his journey back among the world toughest racers, and what is essentially his first “not-GP” outing ever in the USA.
This first leg takes us through his reasons to compete at the highest level again, and what he has done to prepare himself.
Former GP racer and winner, Brian Jorgensen, had a dream. To race the World Veterans Championship 2013 at Glen Helen Raceway in California. But an elbow-injury put an abruptly end to that dream a few weeks before the event. He tried everything to become ready, but it was not meant to be. So what does a crafty man do? He comes to the race from Denmark anyway to make notes, and prepare himself for the 2014-version of the race. And make arrangements for making future motocross coaching in the US as he goes along. So take a road trip with the former factory Suzuki, Yamaha and Honda rider, as he explores what motocross-America has to offer.
This was Brians first visit to the west coast, and part 2 of RTGH is a motocross roadmovie of his experience. The series will continue next year. With Brian going for the gold!
