
Final preparations are now well underway for the fourth edition of the glittering FIM Gala Ceremony, which will take place in the motorsport Mecca of Monte-Carlo tomorrow Sunday – 1st December 2013 – when the two-wheel community will gather once again to celebrate and applaud the achievements of motorcycling’s finest and fastest riders, in this World famous setting. This season’s wide array of FIM World Champions, headed by Marc Marquez, will take to the stage at the Monte-Carlo Sporting Club alongside invited legends from the various different disciplines for an award ceremony that will be attended by key industry and media personnel, and broadcast live to a global audience, in recognition of the talents of our two-wheel heroes.
The 2013 FIM Gala Ceremony with British TV presenter Matthew Roberts and FIM TV presenter Lisa Leyland at the helm will headline two packed days of activities in the small principality. The FIM General Assembly forms part of this programme and is taking place at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort throughout today – 30th November – with delegates representing the 108 National Federations from around the World will congregating for their annual meeting.
The thirty plus strong line up of 2013 FIM World Champions will be joined by two-wheel legends Harry Everts, Malcolm Rathmell, Ove Fundin, Cyril Neveu, Jutta Kleinschmidt, Phillip William Read and Alessandro Gritti for another evening to remember. Tomorrow’s packed programme will be broadcast live on FIM-LIVE.com with the day’s coverage starting with the FIM Symposium.
This year the FIM Symposium will consist of two main topics « Safety at Circuits » with the panel of guests to include Mr David McManus (FIM International Medical Commission Director), Mr Franco Uncini (FIM Safety Officer) and Mr Dave Nicoll (FIM Motocross Race Director). The second topic will cover « Volunteers in Motorcycling » with the panel of guests to include the Secretary General of the Italian Motorcycling Federation FMI (Mr Rinaldelli), President of the Monegasque Federation MCM (Mr Pollano) and Luc Lehner Vice President of the MotoClub La Gaude (local motoclub). The FIM Symposium will then be brought to a close one to one session with France’s double FIM Women’s Enduro World Cup winner Ludivine Puy. Later in the afternoon the unique and exclusive multi-rider press conference will take place ahead of the main FIM Gala Ceremony.
The main FIM Gala Ceremony will also be broadcast live on FIM-LIVE.com as well as on MOTORS TV.
