The Xtreme Test of the Grand Prix Acerbis of Italy, that was at “Val de Put,” on the outskirts of Lumezzane, was certainly one of the most technical of the season. This special has encountered a huge and popular success and the hundreds of riders who darted to the onslaught of the Xtreme Test gave them a lot of show.
First victory for NAMBOTIN and SALVINI
We had to wait until the penultimate Grand Prix of the season to see the French Christophe NAMBOTIN (1/2) and Italy’s Alex SALVINI (3/1) to shine in the Xtreme Test Award.
But this will not be sufficient to prevent Pierre-Alexandre RENET (FRA – HVA), yet “not comfortable with his ride”, claiming (5/6) his first HVA Xtreme Test Award. With now 66 points ahead of his “friend” NAMBOTIN (2nd), he realizes that no one had ever done before: bring the TE 300 offered by Husqvarna Motorcycles home one Grand Prix before the end.
Although the award has already chosen its winner, now the chase for the two others places on the podium will be exciting. If Christophe NAMBOTIN (131 pts) looks set to catch the runner-up spot, the third position remains undecided with four riders within 17 points: Cristobal GUERRERO (ESP – 107 pts), Antoine MEO (F – 103 pts), Johnny AUBERT (F – 96 pts) and Alex SALVINI (I – 90 pts).

Note that the current leader of the Junior Class Daniel MCCANNEY (GB) still holds his rank in 9th place with 65 points.
Who, between Christophe NAMBOTIN, Cristobal GUERRERO, Johnny AUBERT or Alex SALVINI will join the official HVA on the podium of the 2014 edition? With four riders in only two places, the Grand Prix AMV of France to be held on September, 13th and 14th in the city of Brioude should undoubtedly provide a new spectacle of madness in this special coveted by fans and… that, thanks to the investment of Husqvarna Motorcycle offered to Pela RENET a nice TE300!
