Sportel success

Sportel_Television_Succes_2015-10-15The 26th running of the annual Sportel media convention, which this year was marked by the big presence of the Chinese market, was a great success. With Sportel being Youthstream’s opportunity to bring MXGP, the LIVE content as well as the Behind the Gate series to the attention of multiple television broadcasters from various different countries, we are proud to confirm that the relationship with Eurovision, for the news distribution and the coordination of the live signal delivery, will continue.

In addition to the extended collaboration with Eurovision, renowned sports channels MediasetTelenetEurosportMotorsTV, FOX Sports Latin America, and Bandsports among many others have expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship and the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, the audience that these events attracted and feedback they received.

This year L’Equipe 21 broadcasted two events LIVE for the first time, the MXGP of France and the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, and are now considering broadcasting more events LIVE in 2016. Further more, there was a lot interest from multiple Dutch broadcasters who are also looking at airing the 2016 FIM Motocross World Championship LIVE. While all broadcasters are positive for the 2016 season and are looking forward to being a solid part of MXGP’s growth, SportTV Portugal, Sport TV Slovenia, Fox Sports Latin America have renewed their 3-year contracts.

As a symbol of MXGP’s presence in the sporting world, the 2015 FIM Motocross MXGP World Champion Romain Febvre was invited to the convention by Sportel. Febvre, as the break-out star of the 2015 MXGP season and with his like-able persona, attracted a lot of attention during the event where he went up against a lot of big names such as Boxing legend John Holifield and presented the Public Award for the most voted video by followers on the website of French network www.lequipe21.fr.

After the three days spent at Sportel, the most prestigious convention for all sport related television and media, Youthstream is proud of what MXGP has achieved in 2015 and is honored to extend their collaboration with a lot of top sports broadcasters in 2016.
