EICMA-MOTOLIVE #11 – Day 1

Milan – First raceday full of exciting competitions on the EICMA MotoLive external area: under a grey and foggy sky, the track has been painted by the Quad champions’ sliding, the spectacular and crazy couples of Sidecar and the young and brave Mini-MX riders. Three trophies assigned today on MotoLive stage among the clashes of the great EICMA public on the stands around the track.

Bravehearts and emotions at EICMA for the class 65cc. young riders of FMI Mini-MX Trophy, beginners on bikes but ready to be very fast on the MotoLive track. Among “Debuttanti”, the youngest ones, the overall winner is Mariani Mattia (KTM), thanks to two victories on two finals, in front of Valetti Andrea (KTM) e Bonfanti Alessandro (KTM); unlucky Doglio (KTM), who loses the podium falling dawn at the last turn of Final#2. In the “Cadetti” category, the victory goes to Russi Matteo Luigi (KTM), dominator of both the Finals, in front of Lata Valerio (KTM) and Viano Andrea (KTM),the third placed.

Successfully passed is the new entry of this edition, the spectacular Sidecar Cross: people breathless since the start, when two couples Inderbitzin-Betschart and Compalati-Piana had a crash and then Mattoni-Gualatrucci duo made an error at the first turn that help the first three sidecars to take advantage. Taken the lead at the Holeshot Tissot, the couple Tramaglino-Ravera (WSP Zabel) goes away towards the victory: they reach to keep the lead of the race until the finish line, making a show and being at the top during all the day. Second classified are Pozzi-Ceresa (WSP Zabel), just a few seconds behind the firsts, and authors of the best lap. Third placed are Righi-Santolini (WSP Zabel), leader of the followers group.

In the Quad MX throphy, Montalbini Nicola (TM A.Fagioli) is the winner of this international race: he gains the Holeshot Tissot and never rests until the finish. A real dominator, who wins for the fourth time at MotoLive, without his leadership has been challenged by his followers. Second placed is the Latvian Mengelis Edgards (Yamaha), the European Champion Pro, the best in the jumps series, together with the winner: he manages to keep the same pace of Montalbini, but he doesn’t reach to take him. The hardest fight is that one for the third step of the podium: Joao Silva (Yamaha) and Mastronardi Simone (Yamaha Colleferro) overtake one each other and at the finish the Portoguese is third, after having passed the Italian rider at the last turn, just in front of the MotoLive stage.

The EICMA first day of expo and mainly races is arrived at his end, among supporters fun, fascinating evolutions of Daboot freestyle squad and surprises on the track: as planned, it has been a great beginning, that already predict what will be the Supercross showtime tomorrow at MotoLive.
