Evgeny_Bobryshev_Italian_MX_Championship_Sardinia_2016-01-3110.000 spectators coming from all over Sardinia watched at the 2016 absolute first race of world Motocross in Alghero. A marvellous track sorrounded by a wonderful landscape, for a very hard race with the best riders. The show on the sand makes everyone be excited watching a so high level competition.

It’s in fact in the main class, ELITE, when the best 20 riders from MX1 and MX2 racing at their maximum level, with spectacular duels and overtakings. At the end of the day Evgeny Bobryshev (Team HRC) wins: he starts fast and keeps the lead of the race ahead of the World Champin Febvre (Monster Energy Yamaha MXGP Team). The Frenchman recover the gap but he doesn’t manage to pass because of a lapped rider; however the Russianman puts on track all his determination to gain the first victory of the season. Third placed is the Belgian Van Horebeek (Monster Energy Yamaha MXGP Team), who is able to defend his position against the attacks of the imperious Herlings (Red Bull KTM Factory racing), who makes a great recover riding his KTM 250. Fifth classified is Butron (Marchetti KTM), who gains Hurly Holeshot, while Gajser (Honda Gariboldi) is sixth. Behind them a great Guarneri (Honda RedMoto Assomotor) raced on top until he unluckly falls in the final.

In the previous MX1 race, the debuting Tim Gajser, the MX2 2015 World Champion, makes the pace until he seemed to be tired and finishes far behind the first three: Febvre, Van Horebeek and Bobryshev. In MX2 Herlingse won easily, closing the competition at half race. Behind him the battle is hard: Cervellin shows all his skills and passes a world MX2 protagonist like Anstie (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory).

In the 125 class, the French Rubini (KTM Silver Action) wins race#1 and then by the second place in race#2 gains the overall victory. Second classified is the Van De Moosdijk (DP19 Racing Yamaha) and third placed is Haarup (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory).

Finally we can just remind the Lamezia Terme (CZ) round next 7th February with the World Champions. This 2016 Internazionali d’Italia championship is absolutely to be watched: the participants, coming from all over Europe and overseas, are ready to show that Motocross is made by riders on track, mainly when the venues are like today and are well promoted by FMI and OFFROADproracing, instrict collaboration with local institutions like Comune di Alghero and Banca di Sassari.

The next round will be held on February 7th 2016 in Lamezia Terme.
