The 2018 MXGP of Bulgaria returns to the MXGP calendar after last hosting the FIM Motocross World Championship in 2014. The circuit of Sevlievo is one of the best in the world with amazing natural elevation change to test the season veterans of MXGP and the rookies of MX2 alike. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings and Antonio Cairoli both won here in 2014 but in different classes while this year they are head to head in a titanic battle for the MXGP title.
A similar battle continues to erupt in the MX2 class as well as between reigning MX2 World Champion Pauls Jonass and his young Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Teammate Jorge Prado! With only 4 rounds remaining the gloves are slipping off patient hands of both Cairoli and Jonass as they fight to defend their 2017 titles.
In addition to MXGP and MX2 the FIM Europe classes of EMX250 and EMX300 presented by FMF Racing will race and receive live coverage. Apart from the typical battles of an MXGP event the hard soil of Sevlievo combined with the steep hills and several 180 turns will lead to some of the best bar banging action of the year and is not to be missed.
Qualifying races will be LIVE Saturday as well the first races of EMX and the exclusive Studio Show hosted by Paul Malin and Lisa Leyland with guests Hunter Lawrence, Tommy Searle, and Davide De Carli from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.
