Honda riders before St. Louis Supercross – Preview

Justin Barcia 2013 - Muscle Milk Honda TeamHonda Red Riders will make their way to the Edward Jones Dome this weekend for round nine of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship series. Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard has seen success in St. Louis before, capturing the 250SX class win in 2008 that locked up his first championship. Teammate Justin Barcia has won the last three years in a row aboard a Honda CRF250R; can Canard and Barcia continue their success in the 450SX class?

Team Honda Muscle Milk had a respectable showing last week in Atlanta with Justin Barcia placing fourth and teammate Trey Canard finishing fifth in the 450 Supercross class. It was an exciting weekend for GEICO Honda’s Wil Hahn who captured the first victory of his career. His win moved him into second-place overall in the championship, a mere two points behind the leader.

“I really like St. Louis,” says Canard. “The atmosphere is really cool being another indoor pit area, as well as being a Midwest race. The dirt is one of the best of the year with an awesome sand base. By far my best memory would be in 2008 where the East championship came down to the wire.”

Check out all the action March 3; the 450SX race will air on CBS Sports at 12:00 p.m. EST and the 250SX race will air on SPEED at 1:00 p.m. EST.
