We finally have some idea of which US based riders will compete in the upcoming USGP at Glen Helen on September 20, as the FIM released the preliminary entry list for the event this morning.
According to the entry list, Americans Josh Grant, Jason Anderson, BTOSports.com KTM’s newest addition Davi Millsaps and Team USA’s Cooper Webb will all contest the MXGP (450) Class.
Team France’s Marvin Musquin and his fellow countryman Christophe Pourcel will also race in MXGP, as will Team Britain’s Dean Wilson.
Other notables include 2015 Australian MX1 Champion Kirk Gibbs, New Zealand MXoN teammates Cody Cooper and Ben Townley, Brett Metcalfe (who spent his summer racing in Canada), and Team DirtCandy/Suzuki’s Robert Lind.
According to the entry list, in the MX2 (250) Class Lucas Oil/TLD KTM teammates Jessy Nelson and Shane McElrath will join Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy and Chris Alldredge. Privateer Mark Weishaar will also race.
Jeremy Martin, who was expected to compete at the event in preparation for the Motocross of Nations, is not on the entry list.
