Rasmus Jorgensen will miss remainder of season

Rasmus-Jorgensen-Motocross-2014Multiple Danish champion and ADAC MX Masters contender, Rasmus Jørgensen, broke both his ankles during the ADAC SX Cup this winter. Since then he has tried to get back, and thus he tried riding the 1st round of the Danish Championships in April, but the pain was too strong.

Afterwards he went to get his foot checked again, and the result was not as he hoped. Far from it. Rasmus explains.

Rasmus Jørgensen:
“I was in Odense to get my foot checked because it kept being in so much pain. I went to a specialist and he told me it didn’t look so good. The cartilage was destroyed between two bones, and the bones themselves were pushed out of place. It can’t be regrown so I have to undergo surgery on the 12th of June. This will result in a stiff heel joint for me, but the good news was that my ankle joint looked fine. I will be wearing a cast for three months following the surgery, and after that I have a lot of rehabilitation to do. My heel will be stiff but I will be able to work with it and make it better. The doctor said I possibly would be able to ride again but I am going to let it take its time. It is my mobility for the rest of my life at stake”

Despite of this Rasmus is optimistic of his future and wishes to thank everyone helping, supporting and cheering for him.
