Earlier today Adam Raga – Gas Gas prepared for this evening’s deciding FIM X-Trial World Championship event by teaching his newly recruited minder the tricks of the trade.
Away from the real pressure of tonight’s final round showdown in Nice, France when Adam will battle it out with compatriots Albert Cabestany – Sherco and Jeroni Fajardo – Beta in an attempt to be vice World champion, the Gas Gas rider took time out for some light hearted filming.
FIM TV presenter – working on behalf of Interzona – Lisa Leyland swapped her normal attire for a Lycra one piece suit as Raga put her through her paces in order to show her exactly what is involved in being a top-level minder. Leyland summed up her experience by saying. “It’s a lot more difficult than I imagined it would be and is pretty scary too being that close to the bike and rider. Whilst I have enjoyed it, I don’t think I will be changing roles just yet.”
Raga rounded off with a large smile and added. “Although we still have much work to do with Lisa to be at the best level, she is always welcome to be a part of my team!”
