Albert Cabestany – “Age is no problem”

Albert_Cabestany_X-Trial_2014Thirty-three year old Albert Cabestany – Sherco completed his task when he finished second at the closing round of the 2014 FIM X-Trial World Championship in Oviedo, Span late last night to seal the runners up spot in the series. In yet another epic final event showdown with bitter and arch rival Adam Raga – Gas Gas it was the Sherco teamster who came out on top.

Albert explained. “I am really happy and I am riding very confidently with the bike at the moment. I think when you look back at the season and also again tonight, I think that I deserve to be the vice champion. Unfortunately none of us have an answer for what Toni (Bou) is doing, but all I can do is to do my absolute best.”

“My age is not a problem for me, I am still enjoying my riding, I am motivated and still hungry to improve and to taste at least some more success. The team and people around me have done a great job again, but we can not pause too long as already we need to prepare for the outdoor season that starts in Australia in two weeks time. So tonight is the moment to celebrate and tomorrow we will start to work again.” Ended Cabestany.
