Chris Blose and Freegun have joined forces this year, with the Phoenix, Arizona, privateer running the underwear company’s logo on his Shot gear throughout the AMA Supercross season. Freegun is seeking ways of improving its brand’s visibility, while Shot—already an established name in Europe—is looking to break into the American market. As a means of achieving those goals, the two companies last year signed a licensing agreement that has Shot producing special Freegun-edition colorways, including one with a unique USA theme. Signing a deserving rider of Blose’s caliber to represent both brands on the U.S. race circuit was the next logical step.
Going up against better-funded race efforts, Blose has shown determination so far this year, fighting through unexpected challenges to score points at his home round and Anaheim 2, putting him 25th in the SX450 points standings as the series heads into Oakland. After borrowing a bike for A2 at the last minute when his own machine suffered engine problems, Blose received a brand-new Honda CR450R from Testa Motorsports and is looking forward to facing the remainder of the season.
