Cody Webb collects points towards the final championship

Intense EnduroCross action resumed this past Saturday in Denver, Colorado where Round 5 of the series was held. Beta USA’s Max Gerston and Cody Webb both had solid performances on the night. Compared to most EnduroCross tracks this year, Saturday’s track was faster and less technical; sweeping sand corners, tire jumps, and logs were mixed into the course.

Webb collects points towards the final championship.

Webb stayed focus on his championship goal and successfully added two championship points to his cause by winning his heat race and scoring the fastest hot lap prior to the main. Webb reflects on his main event ride saying, “In the finale I was running third right behind the leaders before getting blindsided in a corner and taken out. I played catch up the rest of the race and actually made a pass on Taddy for second, but couldn’t make it stick. I’m happy to come away with third for the evening and looking forward to more technical tracks to end the season.” Webb consistently logged fast laps in the main event to close in on the leaders and ultimately finished in third. With Webb’s finish, he now sits one point behind the championship lead.

Meanwhile, Max Gerston had one of his best rides of the season by transferring into the main from a second place finish in his heat. Gerston comments, “I had tons of fun and felt stronger than ever. I was able to card a 6th place in the main. I tried hard for that top 5 but couldn’t quite get there. My Beta 350 RR ran well even at altitude. All in all it was a great step in the right direction and a successful weekend.” Gerston continues to strengthen aboard the new Beta 350 RR!
