Among Czech riders racing the MX3 FIM Motocross World Championship there will be some newcomers and Michal Votroubek will be one of them.

The I.M.B.A European Champion from 2007, four-times Czech motocross champion and two-times Slovakian international motocross Champion will come back racing international races taking part in the 2013 FIM MX3 World Championship, which will start in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands, on 31st March and 1st April.

Michal Votroubek is considered as one of the top riders in his homeland taking Martin Michek, Petr Smitka and others into an account. He grew up on the well-known motocross track in Holice and since he was four years old he have been riding a bike. He started with bicross bike without engine and a few months later his parents gave him Yamaha 80 because he was a real passionate for the two wheels.

“I have been completely involved in motocross since I was little. I have taken part in European and World Championships in 125 cc class. I´m especially proud of the sixth place I obtained in the European Championship in Croatia (Mladina). Afterwards I took part in the I.M.B.A European MX Championship for two years and I won the MX2 class; that was my last championship on international scene. Then I raced just in Slovakia and Czech Republic where I won many times. Now I feel that this is the right time for my comeback. I have a fantastic cooperation with the MoToman Team, which is a very experienced team with successful history. I´m very happy to have the opportunity to give my best in the FIM MX3 World Championship with them and I am looking forward to seeing all my fans in Valkenswaard,” said Michal Votroubek.

His manager Jozef Toman is pleased to welcome Votroubek in the MoToman Team and they have already started training together to achieve good results: “After the winter break we are now following the training plan very properly. Michal had his own coach with who he is training motocross in Czech Republic. We will move abroad to Belgium and Hungary to catch some experience by riding in the deep sand to be ready for our main goal, which will be first round of the MX3 series in Valkenswaard.”

This is a big moment for the 31 years old rider, as he is going to take part in battles with much more younger riders. He is relaying on the well-prepared KTM bike, his mechanics, riding skills and experiences. “Michal will start with number 44 and we expect him among the top eight riders as he is training very hard and he is strongly motivated to do so. Everyone in the MoToman Team believes that he will face concurrency bravely and he will perform professional motocross racing,” said his team manager Jozef Toman.
