The Erzbergrodeo’s fascination keeps flying high in the 20th year of the worldwide unique motorcycle offroad event held in the very heart of Austria. Shortly after the online registration started on past Tuesday morning, race promotor Karl Katoch had to announce that all 1500 entry spots have been gone.

The unbroken international interest translates into quite positive conditions for the 20th anniversary of the world’s most renowned Xtreme Enduro race, which could establish itself as a real attraction for the world’s best dirt bike athletes. „Considering the disastrous weather conditions of last year, we honestly didn’t expect to witness another record breaking registration procedure for 2014. It’s really remarkable that not even heavy downpours and snowfall restrict the enthusiasm for the Erzbergrodeo.“, describes a well-pleased Karl Katoch the start of registrations. „The interest of pro-riders and factory teams is also tremendous, so we are able to expect a superlative starting grid next year. Additionally, we are planning to present the „Erzbergrodeo legends“ – which includes all Red Bull Hare cramble champions from 1995 until today – in a very spectacular special race event. Everyone who wasn’t able to catch an entry spot should come and celebrate at Erzberg in 2014 – the anniversary edition is going to be an outstanding experience for all visitors!“, adds Katoch.

The Erzbergrodeo’s unchanged fascination delivers a very positive economical prospect for the region around the Erzberg as well. With its thousands of competitors and multi-thousands of spectators, the event has become an important factor for the local (and national) economy over the past 20 years. Together with the Formula-1 Grand Prix of Austria held in late June at the Red Bull Circuit in Spielberg, Erzbergrodeo will boost the the economy of many Styrian towns and villages once again.

The race for Erzbergrodeo entry spots continues on the waiting list
Interested riders still have the opportunity to inscribe themselves to the Erzbergrodeo waiting list for entry spots. Mark Schilling, head of administration, explains the registration procedure: „The definite allocation of the starting numbers is connected with the date of payment of the starting fee. To secure his entry spot, registered riders should pay their starting fee within the next two weeks. If a competitor misses that deadline, the entry spot goes to another rider from the waiting list. So it absolutely makes sense to inscribe to the waiting list.“
