Last weekend Orehova vas had the honour to host the last race of 2016 Slovenian National MX Championship where numerous spectators were able to see two World Champions racing together, ex 2013 MX3 World Champion Klemen Gercar and current MXGP World Champion Tim Gajser. Gajser, who came back to racing from last week injury, was just too fast for competition despite the big crash he had just a week ago. In Open class he outclassed all the competition and defended his national crown with 1-1 moto win. The best part of racing was happening behind Gajser, between Irt brothers Jernej and Peter. The battle between them was won by older Jernej who finished 2nd in both motos for second overall in front of younger Peter who finished 3rd overall.
In MX2 class Jan Pancar won both motos ahead of Luka Crnkovic just for a small margin of seconds in both motos for the overall while Miha Bubnic was 3rd overall.
In MX125 class Luka Milec had the best season so far scoring 100% of all point as the only Slovenian to achieve that and clinching the perfect 2016 MX125 title.
