Klemen-Gercar-MXGP-Qatar-2014Once again the first round of the World Motocross Championship took place in the night of Qatar at the International circuit of Losail, about thirteen km from Doha. Great daylighting and track in a good conditions has made together a huge and solo show. An unexpected rain surprised us before the Quali Race on Friday, such an amazing welcome that happen just a few times in a year.

In the MX2 race 1, Maxime Desprey started in the back, but early on he passed many rivals even if the feeling with the track was not so good, at the finish-line he ranked a fifteenth position. In race 2, after rounding the first lap in twenty-three, Maxime found his line and fought his way up to a nice fifteen place. He also has shown to have a good preparation in his back because he started to increase his rhythm from the half of the race until the end.

Maxime Dessprey:
“I had a bad start in both races, in the first one I did not ride like I want, but in the second I felt better, I found good lines and I finished fifteenth; I know I can do better and I will work off course on the start”.

In the MXGP class, Klemen Gercar tried to have some experience and to learn from the veterans how to ride a gp; he finished both races in nineteenth position that let him gained four useful points for the long championship.

Klemen Gercar:
“My goal of these overseas races was to reach some points and I did it, even if I was not 100% recovered from the fever of last week. This is not the best I can do, but I saw where I have to improve and I am ready to do that”.
