One of enduro’s leading riders, Jonny Walker puts his trust in Airoh Helmets. A brand ambassador since the beginning of his professional career, Walker has taken his Aviator to victory in Erzberg, Red Bull Romaniacs and every other major extreme enduro race on the calendar.
Currently leading the SuperEnduro World Championship, Walker is also inching ever closer to his first world championship title…

Jonny, you’re currently leading the SuperEnduro World Championship with just a couple of rounds left to go. Do you think you can be world champion?
Jonny Walker: “That’s the goal. I’ve been working towards this for a few years now and it’s finally happening for me. But the competition is so close, it’s impossible to think about being a world champion just yet. I’m giving it 100 per cent and fighting for every point I can get. Hopefully, that will be enough to win the title.”
You have been a brand ambassador for Airoh Helmets for many years. What do you like about the brand?
“I’ve pretty much been with Airoh since the beginning of my professional career. I feel like I’ve become part of the Airoh family and that’s important to me. Obviously, Airoh’s helmets are top quality product but when you combine that with warmth and support of the company, it’s easy to see why so many top riders choose Airoh.”
What do you like about new Aviator 2.2?
“The new 2.2 has taken the Aviator range to the next level in terms of comfort and safety. They use the best material to ensure the best levels of safety, while keeping it super light and breathable.”
Extreme enduro races have become so popular in recent years. What attracted you to the sport?
“Extreme enduro brings you to some incredible places. The fact that we get to race over terrain that very few people ever visit is what drew me in. Then of course the racing aspect is what got me hooked. To beat the extreme terrain that organisers set out for you to ride is an amazing feeling.”

What’s your favourite race of the season?
“Every event is so different, which makes it hard to pick just one. I think Erzberg is my favourite. It’s the hardest riding you’ll ever do on a motorbike in one single day. You put your body and bike through so much just to reach the finish line. Winning Erzberg is incredible.”
With the new Red Bull Hard Enduro series just around the corner are you looking forward to the first race in Brazil?
“I think it’s going to be a cool opening race to the series. It’s the first time anyone will race there so nobody’s got a real advantage. I’ve raced SuperEnduro in Brazil but never extreme enduro so I’m excited to get into the mountains and see what’s on offer.”
