Hell’s Gate Metzeler 2015 is halfway. Of the 112 riders who started in the mists of dawn in Garfagnana, only a small selection of authentic, uncompromising fighters managed to get the better of the Hell’s Gate elimination phase.
Winner of the preliminary competition, it must be said, is Jonny Walker. The English KTM ace, won two of the four special stages played in conditions already close to the limit. The other two were won by Riccardo Cavalli, with a “disappeared ” Husaberg, and the Austrian Lars Enockl with KTM
Walker can quite easily check a situation that becomes more brutal with each passing lap and win the Halfway Battle of Hell’s Gate Metzeler 2015 in front of Lars Enockl and Andreas Lettenbichler.
Apparently hard was the race of the record holder of Hell’s Gate Metzeler, Graham Jarvis. The Englishman appears in trouble right from the start, to the point of “pay” two minutes of penalty for a delay to the first time control of the race. While considering the difficulties of the hysterical Race, Jarvis’s delay looks “strange”, and it seems the result of a tactical decision.
The Husqvarna‘s Official may have decided to tackle the round with a very low profile racing and tense to the maximum energy savings. However the result is not in question. Even with a heavy downside, only 14 riders arrived at the preliminary, Jarvis will start on the grid of the final of Hell’s Gate Metzeler … from the front row.
The Middle Way Battle has had in the unexpected resurgence of bad weather its keystone. Shortly after the first departures, in fact, it started to rain, rain stronger. Raining … the wet track conditions have deteriorated further, and the calculated time for each of the five laps played has become increasingly … theoretical.
