After consultation between all parties it has been decided that Klemen Gercar, 23, will finish his MXGP campaign with 24MX Honda Racing. The MX3 World Champion started the MXGP challenge with the Honda Jtech squad of Gabriele Gabriele Rinaldi and Iller Aldini. Gercar is currently 26th in provisional standings after 10 rounds and he’s second behind Tim Gajser in the Open Slovenian Championship.

With both Xavier Boog and Jens Getteman unable to compete, Gercar will defend the 24MX Honda colours from the German GP onward. The switch between both Honda Europe supported-teams also plays to their respective strengths. Honda Jtech  will continue their successful focus on the MX2 class,  where it claimed the Czech podium in GP’s last year. The team also just won the EMX250 class last weekend with rising Danish star Thomas Olsen.

For 24MX Honda Racing and Klemen Gercar it will be their second cooperation because the young Slovenian rode three MX1 GP’s with the highly-regarded Belgian team in 2013.
