As part of its efforts to develop and promote Women’s Enduro, the FIM is proud to announce the appointment of Ludivine Puy as Adviser for the FIM Women’s Enduro World Cup. Ludivine will work with the Course inspector Giovanni Sala and the Clerk of the Course to ensure that the level of difficulty and the design of the sections are adapted to female riders. She will be the direct contact person for riders taking part in the FIM Women’s Enduro World Cup and will attend the meetings of the FIM Enduro Commission.
Following her appointment, two-time winner of the FIM Women’s Enduro World Cup Ludivine Puy said “I am delighted to be able to work on the FIM Women’s Enduro World Cup alongside Giovanni Sala. I shall be able to give the organisers and the participants the benefit of my experience to find just the right level for this Championship. It should not be too difficult, so that there are enough girls riding, but it should not be too easy either, as it is a World Cup. I intend to help to raise the level little by little. I shall be able to ride over the course set by the organisers in order to validate it and put in the necessary detours so that all the girls can get to the finish. I shall also be able to give them advice throughout the weekend and just before the specials depending on the way the track conditions evolve.”
Jean-Guillaume Meiller, Director of the FIM Enduro Commission, welcomed the arrival of Ludivine at the FIM Women’s Enduro World Cup: “Ludivine’s credentials are impeccable and I am sure she will find ways of using her experience for the benefit of the women taking part in the FIM Women’s Enduro World cup. We are confident that she will find good solutions to help them ride even better and show the world that they absolutely have their place in this discipline. Given Ludivine’s sporting record, her courage and her tenacity, not to mention her smile, all the stakeholders in the Championship will certainly be listening to what she has to say! The CEN joins the FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission in thanking “Lulu”, as we affectionately call her, for agreeing to make her personal contribution to the 2014 FIM Women’s Enduro World Cup, which already promises to deliver some exciting rivalries on the track!”
