While the month of April is full of National Championships, let’s have a quick view class by class of the South American tour. Today, let’s go for Enduro 1 class…
Up
With 4 wins in 4 possible, Antoine MEO (F – KTM) has started the season in the best way possible. With him, the two Husqvarna riders Juha SALMINEN (SF) and Matti SEISTOLA (SF) have confirmed their ambitions in South America; the first one not finishing impressing by his motivation and his professionalism, still intact, after 17 complete season in the World Championship!
New Husaberg rider, Thomas OLDRATI (I) has confirmed his speed, particularly in Chile. He imposed himself as the 4th man of the category…
Stable
The two Frenchies Jérémy JOLY (Honda) and Nicolas DEPARROIS (Yamaha) made a good start and are not so far from the podium, even if they not really confirmed in Argentina.
Eero REMES (SF – TM) has also well started his season with his new team and has scored a podium in Chile, benefiting of the setbacks of SALMINEN and SEISTOLA. But he will have to step if he wants to look for a final podium.
GUERRERO says (already) goodbye to the title
Down
Biggest rival of Antoine MEO last year before he gets injured, we were expected better from Simone ALBERGONI (I – HM Honda). We know that the Italian feels better on grassy soil… that we’ll not experience in 2013!?
The great loser of this South American tour is the Spanish Cristobal GUERRERO (KTM). Not because of a lack of talent but because of his injured shoulder during the 2012 ISDE and not recovered. He has already to forget the 2013 title…
A tone below, Anthony BOISSIERE (F – Sherco) and Maurizio MICHELUZ (I – Suzuki) didn’t convince…
