12.5.2013 Reutlingen, Germany: Slippery clay, huge puddles and fast motorbikes, those were the ingredients for an exciting weekend at Reutlingen Motocross. In the ADAC MX Masters Frenchman Sebastien Pourcel (Sarholz KTM Racing Team) managed the day’s victory ahead of team mate Dennis Ullrich from Saarlouis and the Slovenian Tim Gajser (Marchetti Racing). The 28 years old Pourcel was happy with second place in the first race and the victory in the second race. “I am happy to collect as many points as I did, which at the end gave me the day’s victory. Out there on the track today was terrible with all the mud and hard conditions.” After 26-30minutes in race two the jury decided due to the adverse conditions to cancel the race for safety reasons.
Heavy rain turned at first hard and slippery surface of Lehmpiste racetrack in to the slippery mud bath before the eyes of 5,000 spectators at the race weekend. In the first race of the ADAC MX Masters class (German International Motocross Championship) was Max Nagl (KMP Honda Racing Team) who saw the chequered flag first. He won in front of Pourcel and young Gajser . The second race began with a good start for Nagl, which catapulted him to the top. However Nagl shortly after that made a mistake and crashed, but he came up and could finish the race only in eighth place. The second race went very good for Gajser as he charged from 8 place start to the front of the pack. Late in the race when he just passed Petr Smitka and Ulrich for second the red flag was out and his virtual second place was gone in a heart beat as the results were valid from the lap before he made the pass. At the end he had to settle for 4th place.
After two of eight events of the ADAC MX Masters, the former vice-champion Nagl leads with 88 points in the overall standings in front of the seven time French champion Pourcel (76 points) and former ADAC MX Youngster champion Ullrich (64 points).
