Sherco 300 SE-R injection 2T by moto-verte
Fuel injected two strokes are coming… will Sherco be the first to get one into production?
Sherco’s prototype of the 300 SE-R injection has broken cover with French Motoverte recently testing it for the latest issue of their magazine.

So far this is what we know…
There are two injectors – one for oil and one for fuel.
The oil is housed in a separate tank – think Yamaha’s PW50 – underneath the rear mudguard. Using a pump oil is fed into an injector located on the back of the cylinder.
The second injector (fuel) is mounted on top of the throttle body.

Still in development – but with a view to being it to market in 2016 – the guys at Moto Verte were ‘very pleased with what they found’.
The test model’s engine was powerful, much like the carb version, and felt very smooth in low RPMs. It worked well in technical sections.
The final version is expected for 2016 with a price tag to closely match that of the carburettor equipped model.
