Sherco will participate in its 7th Dakar. The official name of the team is Sherco Tvs Rally Factory.
Sherco and TVS Racing will collaborate as racing partners for this year on the Dakar Racing Program (January 3rd through the 17th). Sherco will be present with its racing affiliate (Mac Racing, Michelin, Selle Dalla Valle, Moto Master, Motul, Exact and F2r) and its official racing associate TVS Racing.
Two riders will roll in the colors of the Sherco Tvs Rally Factory team:
- Alain DUCLOS (FRE), Winner of stage 6 at the 2014 Dakar
- Fabien PLANET (FRE), 12th at the 2007 Dakar. Sherco iconic enduro rider since many years (ISDE winner – Podiums at the WEC – Enduro French Champion).
A year after those two wins, Sherco is utilizing all of its knowledge and experience in order to develop a more competitive, lightweight and reliable motorcycle. These bikes will be equipped with the new 450cc engine which will go into production for the series in November of 2014. The basic motorcycle parts will include a new fairing that has been revised to improve the handling for the two official riders along with several additional upgrades to improve the general design of the bike. TVS Racing is working alongside Sherco on this project.
