The official presentation of International Six Days of Enduro 2014 took place last week. This event will be held between November 1st and 8th of next year in the Province of San Juan. The ceremony took place in the “Plaza Mayor” Conference Room of the NH City Hotel in the city of Buenos Aires. The National Secretary of Tourism, Daniel Aguilera, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the Province of San Juan, Dante Elizondo; the President of the Argentine Confederation Sport Motorcycling (CAMOD), Arturo Scalise; the President of San Juan’s Association of Endurance and Rescue, Alfredo Vargas; and the owner of +Eventos, David Eli were present.
The ISDE is the most important event of the Endurance world, with 100 years of history; it will attract more than 500 competitors of the international elite to our country from October 26 th, 2014. The competition will take place between November 1st and 8th.
“Our country is really proud to be the venue of one of the biggest motorcycling events of the planet. This “Six Days” will be part of a series of events that will position Argentina in the world and it will be useful also as a window to the world. It is through sport that we will promote the natural beauties of our territory” stated Aguilera.
San Juan was two times the venue of the FIM World Championship of Maxxis of an Endurance Grand Prix of Argentina. It will be the province in charge of hosting for the first time an International Six Days of Enduro.in Argentina.
In relation to this, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of San Juan pointed out that it is highly valuable for his province to host the competition and he made sure that they will work for an organization to meet the expectations. “San Juan keeps adding sport events that will highlight the image of our province; and thanks to that we are able to reach millions of spectators worldwide to show our geography. Besides, the internal movement that is generated by these activities with over 200 people involved in the organization and 550 participants, which favours directly the regional economy” pointed out Elizondo.
Next year it will be the fourth time this competition will get to a Latin-American country after being to Brazil, Chile, and Mexico in five previous editions.
“No doubt this is the most important one we will be organizing, due to its magnitude and number of people involved among organizers, volunteers, participants, and teams. We count on two excellent antecedents like the two past editions of the World Championship of Endurance in San Juan, a province that has the surfaces, the public’s passion, and the good will of government officials to organize these kinds of competitions” assured the owner of +Eventos, David Eli.
