Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Clement Desalle, Kawasaki Racing Team’s Jeremy Van Horebeek and Redbull KTM Factory Racing’s Ken De Dycker will be the name’s that make up Team Belgium for this year’s Motocross of Nations that will take place end of this month in Teutschenthal, Germany. Joel Smets (Manager of Team Belgium) introduced his staunch crew today during the Grand Prix of Benelux press conference, admitting that fellow successful Belgian motocross heroes Marniq Bervoets and Stefan Everts also had a strong influence on the team selection to ensure the team was selected on ability rather than emotion.
Clement Desalle said “I am excited for Motocross of Nations and I believe we can win. I feel we have something to prove because last year we had such a strong team and we could have won, so this year we are for sure going for the win.”
Jeremy Van Horebeek mentioned “I’m a little bit worried because I have just got comfortable on the 450 and now I have to go back to the 250, but it was only last year I was on the 250 and I was pretty good so I’m sure I can adjust and I will be able to do well”
Ken De Dycker is proud to be selected for team Belgium reminding us that he dominated the 2010 MX1 Grand Prix of Germany which took place at the circuit of Teutschenthal. De Dycker said “I really like that track, I won the GP there in 2010, and I think this year we have a good team”
