During the 67th edition of the Monster FIM Motocross of Nations, which took place last weekend in Teutschenthal, Germany, some of the Red Bull KTM Factory Riders explained that they would be travelling to Madrid on the 5th October to participate in the first edition of the Give Me Five event. The Spanish fans crowded the motocross track of Valdemorillo to see some of the best Motocross riders of the moment such as the seven-times World Champion Antonio Cairoli, former FIM MX2 World Champions Ken Roczen and Marvin Musquin, former Supercross World Champion Ryan Dungey, runner up of the 2012 FIM Motocross World Championship Jordi Tixier, Spanish stars José Butrón and Jonathan Barragán, and the French riders Dylan Ferrandis and Valentin Teillet. The format of the event was a mixture between motocross and Supercross where all the riders had to take part in two qualifying heats of five laps each in order to enter the final race. Antonio Cairoli, Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin, Ken Roczen and Dylan Ferrandis were the top five riders who gave their best to win the final heat. Jordi Tixier and José Butrón were out of the final race because they crashed in the Last Chance when they were both fighting for the lead to enter the main heat.

Roczen led the first stages of the final heat, but he made a mistake and Dungey overtook him and managed to lead the race until the finish line. Cairoli took the outside line in the first corner of the heat and saw himself dropping to the last position. The Italian gave it all to catch the leading group, but he was only able to cross the finish line third behind Musquin, who rode a very consistent race in second. Ferrandis ended fourth and Roczen fifth.

A part from the professional riders there was also the 85cc class which was clearly dominated by former FIM Junior 65cc Motocross World Champion Jorge Prado.

All the riders had a great time in Spain, but they are all now looking forward to taking some time off before they start preparing the 2014 season.
