Tim Gajser is Slovenian national Champion 2014

2014 Motocros DP Brezice_0354-Tim-GajserOne race before the end of Slovenian national Motocross Championship, Honda Gariboldi rider Tim Gajser clinched his first ever Open National MX title of his career despite being only a 17 years old kid.

Gajser showed a great form throe all weekend clinching best times in practice and qualifications. Nothing changed in the race as he dominated in both motos with a huge lead onboard his Honda CRF450 and won. In moto 1 he won in front of Klemen Gercar who had some difficulties in the beginning of a moto after he collided with a fellow rider Toini Mulec and injured his ankle. Gercar came back from behind and finished the race in 2nd behind Gajser with the gap less than a minute, while Mulec finished third.

In the second moto Gercar didn’t start because of the pain in his ankle so the title fight was over for him. Gajser once again showed his talent and rode flawless to his new victory and to his first MX Open National title. The gap at the end was more than a minute in front of second place finisher Mulec and Theo Urbas who finished in third.

In the combined motos the win went in to the hands of Gajser (1-1), second was Mulec (3-2) and third was Borut Koscak (4-4).
