Tim Gajser signs with KTM Marchetti Racing Team

Tim Gajser Beirer and Marchetti KTM 2013The KTM Marchetti Racing team, which participates since last season in the MX1 and MX2 World Motocross Championships, has reached an agreement with the Slovenian rider Tim Gajser, to participate in the EMX2 European Championship with a KTM SX 250 F bike.

Tim Gajser, sixteen, is 2012 World Champion in the 125 cc. class, and 125cc European Champion. The agreement was finalized and signed in Mattighofen at the presence of Pit Beirer, KTM racing manager.

Elio Marchetti, Marchetti KTM Team Manager: ‘We are a young team that ranks in the MX1 World Championship the expert rider Davide Guarneri, and in the MX2 World Championship the young italian Giacomo Del Segato, but our intention was willing to think about the future and provide to young talent a chance to grow. So we are really honored to have signed a talent like Tim.

“And ‘this is for us an important step that would not have been possible without the direct involvement of KTM and Red Bull. I’m sure Tim will do well in the European EMX2 Championship, and will also be at the start of some MX2 World Championship GPs as wild-card rider.

“Tim is already with us in Italy, and during the week we have scheduled the first test to set and develop of the bike, and suspension tests with WP technicians ‘.
