With a clear and almost impossible to close advantage over even his nearest challengers, Toni Bou’s – Repsol Montesa third win in a row at the latest round of the 2013 FIM X-Trial World Championship in Malaga, Spain has put him within sight of his seventh successive title in this discipline. However Bou failed to look too far ahead as he spoke after his most recent victory.
“I am very happy with my riding, but no victory is ever that easy as my rivals all have a good level,” Explained Bou. “Tonight I had an incredible feeling in some of the sections and this allowed me to take yet another victory. So far it has been the perfect championship for both me and the Repsol Montesa team, and to also have (Takahisa) Fujinami on the podium again tonight was even more special.”
Toni closed by saying “I am not thinking about the championship yet, I am only thinking about the next round in Germany where my goal again will be to ride at the best level and to win. Only in that moment can I begin to think about the championship. Right now me and the team are ready just for the next round, no more.”
