The Hell’s Gate Extreme Enduro race was held on Saturday in Tuscany Italy, this race is recognized as one of the most difficult races in the series.
The race took place in two parts, the morning prolog started at 7 AM and was a traditional enduro. In the six hours of racing Wade was always near the front. He was third at the end of the first lap, second at the end of the third and then he took the lead in the fourth lap which he never relinquished.
Wade won the enduro prolog which gave him the pole position for the start of the main race. Twenty-nine other riders qualified for the main.
The main race started at 4 PM and Wade got the hole shot and took command of the race. During the first hour the Spanish rider Mario Roman was in second, almost a minute behind Wade. Refuelling the bike did not disturb Wade who continued to set the pace, Jarvis moved into second place but was more than three minutes back, the gap eventually grew to more than five minutes.
Wade was the first to appear at the last climb and crossed the finish line in first place shortly after 7 PM. A tremendous victory for his first appearance at the Hell’s Gate.
Congratulations Wade!!
