Romain Febvre will not participate in the international Valencia race next weekend or probably no other race before the Qatar GP which will take place on 27th February. The French rider, fell in the first MX1 Race of Italian International MX Race in the second corner, which was held this weekend in Lamezia Terme. Roman got up with arm cut open and had to go to the nearest hospital to stitch the wound.
Before the crash, Febvre was chasing the leader Evgeny Bobryshev with his teammate Jeremy Van Horebeek.
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Mino Respanti: “Roman had a good start but the first corner was really too tight and short after he fell. He had to stitch the wound and it is likely to be out for 10 days. A the end the situation could have been much more serious than it is.”
At the end Van Horebeek won the Elite race and now has still the chance to clinch the Italian International Motocross Title 2016 next week in Ottobiano.
