Albie Wilkie from CRF150R to CRF250R

2014-MXGP-of-Czech-Republic---Loket_1660_WilkieAlbie Wilkie experienced his first ride of the Honda CRF250R with the Honda Jtech Racing team earlier this month, marking an important step in his motocross career since winning the 2014 Honda 150 European Championship.

Alongside Honda Jtech teammate Nick Kouwenberg, who also is a new signing for next season, the pair will contest the EMX250 championship in 2015.

This short video, available here, takes a quick look back at the key moments of Wilkie’s Honda 150 European Championship crown before following his first test at the Mantova track aboard the CRF250R.

The prize for winning the 2015 Honda 150 European Championship remains the same – a promotion within the Honda motocross family to a CRF250R in the EMX250 championship in 2016. Part of Honda’s commitment to nurturing new talent in the sport, the series provides a real kick-start to the winner’s motocross career with a Honda-supported ride in the European series.

The first 20 riders for next year’s Honda 150 European Championship are confirmed below, and the remaining places will be confirmed by mid-November. Interest in the series is high, but there’s still time to apply to enter the 2015 edition. Visit www.honda150championship.com or email enquiries@honda150championship.com
