Time for truth in the International Six Days of Enduro Argentina 2014 has come. Administrative verifications started today from very early in the morning after which the technical ones took place where specialists checked bikes before they enter the park ferme to wait for the action on November 3rd.
The World Trophy, Junior Trophy, and Argentine clubs togheter with federations from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Perú and México fulfilled the first step and left their vehicles so as to go through the special tests next monday. Now, mental work has started prior to the start of the first six special tests of the Six Days Argentina 2014 which are located in the areas of Zonda and Ullum.
Juan Manuel Dávila, the representative from San Juan’s World Trophy Team Argentina, will make its debut in ISDE. “The main aim is to complete the six days and the expectation is set o the last day. It is a long race and you have to take care of yourself, take care of the bike and set good times to try to be in the lead as much as possible” pointed out the local rider.
Stefano Caimi made it clear that Argentina will look for the Top Five in the Andes’ Star: “My expectation is to be among the best fifteeen of the best classified in E1, and as a team we want to be among the best five. I know it is ambitious because tehre are very good and strong teams” stated the one from Mendoza who will be with his brother Franco, Kevin Benavides, Luciano Benavides, Nicolás Giustozzi and Dávila to make up World Trophy Team.
The team of under 23 who represent the light blue and white colors have also set an ambitious aim. Nicolás Kútulas pointed out: “We have an aim as a group which is to get as far as possible, try not to injure ourselves so as not to harm the team. Individually, I’ll try to get a silver medal or a gold one if I can”.
The one from Salta together with Martín Mercado, Agustín Maldonado and Juan Ignacio Zunino have already been to the verifications and placed a bet on their KTMs. now they will take a rest and think of the strategy for next Monday.
Franco Ayuso makes up the Official Club Team together with Ariel Navarro and Emiliano Carbonero. In their ISDE debut they are aiming at high as possible: “I have trained a lot this year so i have the highest expectations and hope to get to the gold. The Club was always united and it will be a very good experienced” stated the rider.
Tomorrow more nations will go through the verifications. Training sessions for those who have not left their bikes in the Parc Fermé will continue until Saturday morning.
During Thrusday morning, San Juan’s governor and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the Province of San Juan were present in the training area located behind the Paddock so as to see the last movements of the argentine riders before the race starts on November 3rd.
