Despite finishing third yesterday in Open class qualifying for Team Slovenia, riding the Honda CRF450R, Tim was last night diagnosed with broken 5th and 6th vertebrae after a big crash in the morning practice, so is unable to compete in Latvia today. The injury was originally suspected to be a fractured rib, but a CT scan after the qualifying race confirmed that this was not the case.
More updates on his condition and recovery will follow in the coming weeks and months. He will remain in hospital in Riga until tomorrow (Monday), whereupon his condition will be reassessed.
